Installing a wallpaper takes three steps:
The app runs silently in the system tray. You can switch wallpapers at any time from the tray menu without opening the full interface.
Shader wallpapers are real-time animations written in HLSL (High-Level Shader Language) and rendered directly on your GPU via DirectX 11. Unlike video wallpapers, they are not pre-recorded — every frame is computed live by your graphics card.
This means shader wallpapers are fully resolution-independent (crisp on 4K monitors), infinitely looping without any seam, and can expose adjustable parameters such as animation speed, colour palette, or intensity.
System requirements: any DirectX 11-capable GPU (NVIDIA GTX 600+, AMD Radeon HD 7000+, or Intel HD 4000+) on Windows 10 or 11.
Anyone can apply to the WallHunt Creator Program. Here's how:
Accepted creators get access to the creator dashboard, where you can upload wallpapers, set prices, and track earnings. You keep 80% of every sale. Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe.
We offer a 14-day refund window on all paid wallpapers. Email support@wallhunt.com with your order details.
Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to the original payment method. After 14 days, purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe this policy has been applied incorrectly, contact support.

The desktop app is Windows-only. macOS and Linux support are on the roadmap but have no confirmed release date.
WallHunt does not require a subscription — you only pay for individual wallpapers. There is nothing to "cancel" in the traditional sense.
If you would like to delete your account entirely, you can do so from Settings → My Account → Danger Zone. Account deletion is permanent and will anonymize all your data. Wallpapers you have purchased and downloaded remain usable offline, but you will lose access to your cloud library and purchase history.
