1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how WallHunt ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at wallhunt.com, the WallHunt desktop application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). WallHunt is operated by Top Rated LLC, 118 East 61st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220, United States.

2. Data We Collect

Account information

When you sign in via Discord or Google OAuth, we receive your email address, display name, avatar URL, and provider user ID. We do not receive your OAuth password.

Purchase information

We store a record of each purchase (wallpaper ID, amount, date, refund status). Payment details (card number, expiry, CVV) are handled exclusively by Stripe and never touch our servers.

Usage & device information

We collect IP addresses, user agents, referrer URLs, and interaction events (page views, clicks) to operate the Service and investigate abuse. The desktop app reports anonymous crash and performance telemetry, which you can disable in Settings.

Creator information

If you apply to be a creator, we collect additional information required for Stripe Connect onboarding (legal name, address, date of birth, tax ID). This data is submitted directly to Stripe and is not stored in our database beyond what's required for identification.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide the Service: authenticate you, fulfill purchases, grant access to wallpapers you own
• Operate the platform: moderate content, prevent fraud, investigate abuse
• Communicate with you: receipts, transactional notifications (required), and marketing email (only if opted in)
• Improve the Service: aggregate analytics, debug crashes, measure performance
• Comply with the law: respond to subpoenas, enforce our Terms, retain transaction records for tax purposes

4. Who We Share With

We share the minimum necessary data with the following service providers ("sub-processors") to operate the Service:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers.

5. Cookies & Tracking

WallHunt uses only first-party session cookies for authentication and security. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic analysis, which does not set cookies and does not collect cross-site tracking data.

6. Marketing Email

Marketing email (product announcements, drops, newsletters) is sent only to users who have explicitly opted in via the signup checkbox or their Account Settings. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Transactional email (purchase receipts, account notifications) is sent regardless of marketing preference.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data until you request deletion. Transaction records and tax documents are retained for seven (7) years as required by U.S. tax law, even after account deletion.

8. Your Rights

You may:

• Access your account data via the Account Settings page
• Export your data by emailing privacy@wallhunt.com
• Delete your account via Account Settings (subject to the retention exceptions above)
• Opt out of marketing email at any time via the link in any email or your settings page

9. Children's Privacy

WallHunt does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with COPPA. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
